Tragic road accident in İskeçe: Young member of the Minority Community laid to rest amid tears

A tragic traffic accident near the village of Karapazar (Pezoula) in İskeçe has claimed the life of 34-year-old Mümin Selim, a well-known barber from the Muslim Turkish Minority community of Western Thrace. His untimely death has deeply saddened the local community.
According to reports, the accident occurred on the Bulustra (Avdira)–İskeçe road, near Karapazar. For reasons yet unknown, Selim reportedly lost control of his vehicle, which overturned, leaving him critically injured. Emergency services (EKAB) rushed to the scene and transported him to İskeçe State Hospital, where, despite doctors’ efforts, he was pronounced dead.
Local traffic police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
The news of Selim’s passing spread quickly across İskeçe and Western Thrace, prompting an outpouring of grief on social media, where friends and relatives shared condolences and memories of the young man.
Mümin Selim’s funeral was held this afternoon after the asr (afternoon) prayer, where family, friends, and community members bid him farewell in tears.
