Tragic incident in Ferecik: 58-year-old man found dead in his car
A tragic event occurred on the evening of Sunday, October 26, in the rural area of Feres (Ferecik), near the Evros (Meriç) region. A 58-year-old man was found dead inside his burned vehicle in a field near the village.
According to reports, the man was discovered by his brother, who immediately notified the authorities. Police officers from the Feres Police Department and an ambulance arrived at the scene shortly afterward. However, medical personnel confirmed that the man had already passed away.
Initial investigations suggest no indication of foul play. Authorities believe the man took his own life by setting himself on fire after pouring a flammable substance over his body.
The body was transferred to the Dedeağaç Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
An official investigation into the incident is currently being conducted by the Feres Police Department.
