Traffic accident on Xanthi-Şahin road: One dead
The collision happened at approximately 7:45 a.m. near the 8th kilometer, involving a vehicle carrying teachers heading to the Ketenlik Primary School and another car traveling from Ketenlik to Xanthi. Tragically, a 34-year-old mother of a six-month-old baby lost her life in the accident.
Eyewitnesses reported that the injured were transported to Xanthi State Hospital by ambulances dispatched to the scene. One of the injured women is reportedly in critical condition and has been admitted to intensive care.
The incident has shocked the local community in the Balkan region of Xanthi. Over the past three days, eight accidents have been reported on this stretch of road, particularly between the gas station and Dolaphan. Experts have warned drivers to exercise extreme caution, noting the road's slippery condition due to light rainfall.
