The late Mufti Mete was commemorated in Mescid-i Atik Mosque

After the death of Mufti of Xanthi Ahmet Mete, he was commemorated with the Mevlid and Qur'an program held at the Mescid-i Atik Mosque.

The Qur'an, mawlids and hymns were read by the religious officials of the Xanthi Mufti in the program held at the Mescid-i Atik Mosque on Friday, July 22, before the Friday prayer.

After the Holy Quran, the late Mufti Ahmet Mete was commemorated with the prayer of Deputy Mufti of Xanthi Ahmet Hraloğlu.

After the prayer, Deputy Mufti of Xanthi Ahmet Hraloğlu and Murat Ömeroğlu, The Türkiye’s Consul General of Komotini, made a short speech.

Hraloğlu and Ömeroğlu once again conveyed their condolences to the family of the late Mufti Ahmet Mete, his close colleagues and the Xanthi Muslim Turkish Community.

Besides the Türkiye’s Consul General of Komotini Murat Ömeroğlu, Mete’s family, Deputy Hüseyin Zeybek, Mayor of Miki (Mustafçova) Rıdvan Deli Hüseyin, Deputy Mufti of Xanthi Ahmet Hraloğlu, President of Xanthi Turkish Union Ozan Ahmetoğlu, President of Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association Hüseyin Baltacı, Association of Western Thrace Minority Schools Councilors Association chairman, Ahmet Kara, and a large congregation participate.

At the end of the program, rice was served to the congregation participating in the commemoration event after the Friday prayer.
