Fraudsters, who are especially looking for people living alone, managed to steal 30 thousand Euros from a woman in Xanthi.
Nowadays, in the Xanthi region, there is talk of a group of criminals who call lonely people and try to extort money under the pretext that one of their relatives has been seriously injured.
In a local radio programme, when the presenter of the programme reported that an elderly woman was robbed of 30 thousand Euros by telephone fraud, another woman who joined the broadcast said that they tried to defraud her with the same method.
