Man wanted in Germany for fraud and money laundering arrested in İskeçe

A Greek national wanted by German authorities for alleged computer-related fraud and money laundering has been arrested in İskeçe, Greek police said.
The man was detained on the evening of Wednesday, 23 July 2026, by officers from the İskeçe Department for the Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes.
According to a statement from Greek police, authorities discovered during a routine check that a European Arrest Warrant issued by German authorities was pending against the suspect.
The case concerns allegations of computer-related fraud and the legalization of proceeds from criminal activity, according to police information.
The arrested individual is expected to appear before the Prosecutor of the Thrace Court of Appeals as part of the legal procedure.
