Sünnetçiköy Quran students celebrate completion ceremony in Western Thrace
Students of the Sünnetçiköy Quran Course, operating under the Mufti Office of İskeçe, marked a significant spiritual milestone with a heartfelt Quran completion (Khatm) ceremony held on Sunday, May 3, 2026.
The event drew a large and engaged audience, creating an emotionally resonant and spiritually uplifting atmosphere. Students showcased their dedication through Quran recitations and a carefully structured program, earning widespread appreciation from attendees.
Prepared under the guidance of Quran course instructor Abdullah Çolak and village imam Selahattin Bayram, the students demonstrated both discipline and devotion throughout the ceremony. Their performance was warmly received by families and guests alike.
The program concluded with a Quran completion prayer led by Rıdvan Topçu, Head of Religious Services at the Mufti Office. In his closing remarks, Topçu emphasized the vital role of Quranic education in fostering children’s moral and spiritual development.
Among the notable attendees were Members of Parliament Burhan Baran and Hüseyin Zeybek, Regional Vice Governor İrfan Hacıgene, and President of the İskeçe Turkish Union, Kerem Abdurrahimoğlu. The ceremony also welcomed numerous community members, parents, and guests.
