Spectacular Şahin rally by the FEP Party
Friendship Equality Peace Party, which is the political voice of the Muslim Turkish Minority of Western Thrace in Europe and the World, organised a magnificent rally in Şahin on 3 June Monday.
Muslim Turks living in the town of Sahin in Mustafçova Municipality embraced the president of the FEP Party and all the MEP candidates.
The people of Şahin showed their determination to give a strong support to the FEP Party on Sunday 9 June.
It was observed that the rally was also attended by cognates from neighbouring villages.
In his speech, FEP Party President Çiğdem Asafoğlu stated that the FEP Party participated in the elections in order to make the voice of the Muslim Turkish Minority of Western Thrace heard in Athens and Europe.
At the rally, the candidates for the EP parliamentary seats on the list of the FEP Party took the floor one by one and expressed their thoughts on the upcoming elections and asked the people to support the struggle of the FEP Party for the minority community.
In their speeches, the candidates called on voters to go to the polls on Sunday 9 June and cast their votes.
In the statement made by the FEP Party regarding the rally, "Our stop in the rallies we organised during the European Parliament Election process was Şahin this evening. As always, the people of Şahin showed great support for the FEP Party by giving the message WE ARE HERE with great enthusiasm. FEP Party President Çiğdem Asafoğlu, FEP Party Former President and Chief Advisor to the President Mustafa Ali Çavuş, MEP candidates and the people of Şahin sent a strong message to Europe and Athens. As FEP Party, we would like to sincerely thank the people of the village, especially the people of Şahin, the residents of the neighbouring villages and the people of Xanthi in general for the intense interest shown this evening."
