Shock in Xanthi! Former Municipal Council Member dies from gunshot wound
Angelos Kilikiotis, former Municipal Council Member of Inhanli (Topiros), was found critically injured by a gunshot in the courtyard of his workplace and later died.
Angelos Kilikiotis, a former member of the Inhanli Municipality Council, was discovered severely wounded by gunfire in the yard of his business located in the Agios Athanasios area of Xanthi. The incident occurred last night (Tuesday, June 17).
Emergency medical teams rushed Kilikiotis to Xanthi State Hospital, but despite doctors’ efforts, he could not be saved.
Authorities have launched a thorough investigation into the incident, considering all possibilities surrounding the death.
Local media reports indicate that initial findings suggest the incident could be either an accident or a possible suicide.
Kilikiotis was a well-known figure in the region, and his sudden death has caused shock and deep sorrow across Inhanli and the wider Xanthi area.
The investigation is being conducted jointly by the Inhanli Police Station and the Xanthi Police Department.
