An important visit was made to the port of Alexandroupolis by the US senator and chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Robert Menendez, accompanied by the US ambassador to Greece, George Tsounis.
The two men who were in Alexandroupolis for a private visit, invited by a businessman, visited a brewery in Komotini and met with local actors.
They also went to the port of Alexandroupoli in order to be informed about the current developments and the military activity that is developing there, on the occasion of the arrival of the giant American transporter MENDONCA.
Mr. Menendez has always been an ardent supporter of the Greek and Cypriot positions in the US and at the same time has stood in the way of several Turkish plans.
