Prime Minister Mitsotakis hosts students from Büyük Derbent Minority Primary School

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis welcomed students from the Büyük Derbent Minority Primary School and the Sofulu Second Chance School to his office.
The event took place at the Maximos Mansion in Athens, where the students, both girls and boys from the village of Büyük Derbent in the Sofulu Municipality of the Evros region, had the opportunity to meet with the Prime Minister.
Mitsotakis celebrated the children's New Year and presented them with gifts. He engaged in a conversation with the young students, teachers, and accompanying parents about life in their villages and schools. He also listened to the children's impressions of their visit to Athens. The students invited the Prime Minister to visit their schools.
On behalf of the parents, three mothers accompanying the children expressed their satisfaction with the opportunity to complete compulsory education by attending the Second Chance School. They highlighted how this opportunity has opened new vocational paths and improved their daily lives.
The newly established Büyük Derbent Second Chance School currently serves 37 students aged between 35 and 55.
