President Erdoğan honors Dr. Sadık Ahmet on 30th anniversary of his passing
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan commemorated Dr. Sadık Ahmet, the iconic leader of the Turkish Minority in Western Thrace, on the 30th anniversary of his death with a message shared on social media.
In his post, President Erdoğan paid tribute to Dr. Ahmet’s legacy and underscored his pivotal role in advancing the rights of Western Thrace’s Turks:
“I remember with mercy Dr. Sadık Ahmet, who played a vital role in securing the gains of our Western Thracian Turkish brothers and sisters, on the 30th anniversary of his passing. We will continue to stand by the Turkish Minority in Western Thrace with all the means at our disposal.”
