July 15, Democracy and National Unity Day was celebrated with a ceremony held at the Consulate General of Komotini.
By the fourth anniversary of the coup attempt carried out by traitors of Fetullah Gülen Terrorist Organization (FETO) on July 15, 2016, it was held a memorial ceremony at Turkey's Consulate General in Komotini in Western Thrace in which Turkish minority representatives attended.
At the memorial event, speeches and prayers were made for martyrs. Also the pray for acceptance of the hundreds of hatims (full reading of the Quran) read before by the Turkish community with the organization of the mufti offices was made.
