ABTTF On the eighth anniversary of 15 July, we commemorate our democracy martyrs and veterans with respect and gratitude
Eight years after the treacherous coup attempt, the events of that day remain in the memory and hearts of the Turkish nation as they were on the first day. Citizens, who took to the streets all over the country upon the call of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, stood united on the night of 15 July to ensure the failure of the heinous coup attempt.
The Turkish nation showed a glorious resistance with its young and old against the attempt to take over the state of the Republic of Türkiye and failed the coup attempt. As the Presidential Board and family of the Federation of Western Thrace Turks in Europe (ABTTF), the representative of the Turkish community in Western Thrace in Europe and internationally, on behalf of all Western Thrace Turks living in Europe, we express once again our condemnation of the treacherous coup attempt targeting the existence and democratic institutions of our motherland, the Republic of Türkiye.
We wish God's mercy to all our beloved martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their homeland in this treacherous coup attempt, our condolences and patience to their grieving families and our gratitude and thanks to our heroic veterans. As ABTTF, we would like to reiterate once again that we always stand by our motherland against all those who attempt the unity and integrity of our motherland Türkiye and the entire Turkish nation.
