Permanent staff appointed to Eastern Macedonia and Thrace region

The administration of the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region has taken steps to address staffing shortages by appointing permanent employees to its services. According to an official press release, this initiative aims to "improve the quality of public services and enhance administrative practices that have a direct impact on citizens' daily lives." The statement further emphasizes that the administration has tackled one of the region's major challenges—staff shortages—and remains committed to sustaining this effort, with tangible results already visible.
In the coming weeks, the hiring of 22 permanent employees will be completed, with eight of them officially sworn in this morning at the regional headquarters in Komotini. These new hires include professionals from various fields such as agronomists, engineers, administrative and financial staff, and IT specialists.
Regional Governor Christodoulos Topsidis congratulated the newly appointed employees, assured them of the administration’s commitment to collaboration, and encouraged them to apply their skills toward the region’s development.
Additionally, 72 more permanent positions have been approved, with the hiring process expected to be completed by ASEP (Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection) by the summer. At the same time, the administration is utilizing employment programs from DYPA (Public Employment Service) and is preparing to submit new proposals for further staff recruitment based on the region's needs.
