Özgür Ferhat asks about the compensation of Komotini - Bulgaria road
Özgür Ferhat criticised the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport for not carrying out a study on the issue and said that the government should put an end to this injustice as soon as possible.
Deputy Farhat made the following statements in his statement on the subject "10 years ago, 103 right holders in Komotini and its wider neighbourhood were subjected to compulsory land transfers to the state for the construction of a road. However, despite the completion and operation of the Komotini-Bulgaria road for years, the rightful citizens have not received the expropriation compensation for their lands from the state.
The fact that the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport does not show sensitivity on this issue and that the necessary compensation is not paid to the citizens by the Ministry of Economy is met with a great reaction within the society.
We demand that the current administration immediately put an end to this injustice and pay the compensation for the lands taken from the citizens with a simple Ministry decision, just as they carried out the compulsory expropriation with a Ministry decision.
Based on the court decision won by the right holders and citing the just state structure, I invite the Minister to take office as soon as possible."
