Omiros Dairy Factory inauguration in Xanthi’s Sidiyni Area
On Sunday, November 10, 2024, the newly modernized Omirοs Dairy Factory facilities in Sidiyni, Xanthi, were inaugurated with great ceremony. The event was hosted by the Yannitsi family, with industry veteran George Gkritzikis leading the proceedings. Among the notable attendees were former Minister and Trikala MP Kostas Skrekas, Xanthi Chamber of Commerce President Stelios Moraitis, local entrepreneurs, livestock farmers, and a large crowd of community members.
The facilities, originally acquired from Delta in May 2023, underwent a complete upgrade, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure improvements to support Omirοs Dairy’s extensive milk network. The Sidiyni facility spans 7,500 square meters, housing 1,200 square meters of industrial space, biological equipment, and facilities for environmental treatment, with a capacity to process and store 120 tons of sheep and goat milk daily.
This expansion aligns with Omirοs Dairy’s goal to enhance its network across Greece—now totaling six processing stations—and increase production capacity to meet growing demand. The new station will also serve Omirοs' subsidiary AGROLACT, which supplies high-quality feed to support Omirοs’ livestock network, further advancing the company’s commitment to premium dairy production.
