The students of the Musaköy Primary School are still awaiting for a teacher
Although the new school year started on September 14, no teachers were appointed to Musaköy primary school in about a month. Teachers from the school in the neighboring village take turns coming every day.
The Turkish and Greek teachers from the school in Hasanlar, the neighboring village of Musaköy primary school, which operates as a branch of the village of Hasanlar village, six kilometers away in Dedeağaç, come alternately every day.
In a statement made to Millet Media, Council Committee Member Ersoy Ömer stated that the village has been resisting since 2014 to keep open the school, as the State is closing dozens of schools every year. As a result, students receive Turkish and Greek lessons taking turns each day because there is not any teacher appointed yet.
