Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa brought together Chairman of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board and Mufti of Komotini İbrahim Şerif with his old friends in Xanthi at a dinner meeting. At the dinner hosted by Mufti Trampa on Thursday, October 6, İbrahim Şerif met with his friends from Xanthi, whom he knew well during his 32-year duty as mufti.

The dinner was held at the (Plagia) restaurant in Xanthi, along with the Chairman of the Advisory Board and Mufti of Komotini İbrahim Şerif and his friends from Xanthi, as well as Türkiye's Consul General to Komotini Murat Ömeroğlu, Xanthi Deputy Mufti Ahmet Hraloğlu, Xanthi Deputy Hüseyin Zeybek, Mustafaçova (Miki) Mayor Ridvan Delihüseyin, Hüseyin Baltacı, President of Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association, and Ozan Ahmetoğlu, President of Xanthi Turkish Union.

During the meal, memories were refreshed and current issues were evaluated.

Chairman of the Advisory Board and Mufti of Komotini İbrahim Şerif expressed his satisfaction with the kind invitation and thanked Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Xanthi.

Mufti Şerif said, “I am very happy to be with old friends, many of whom I have known closely and with whom I have been traveling in the 32 years since January 29, 1990, when the mufti elections were held. We wish once again mercy to our old friends who left us and got the mercy of Allah. We would like to thank our Xanthi Mufti for giving us the opportunity to have a chat with old friends and people who were at the forefront of our minority's struggles in the past.” he said.
