MP Zeybek demands government not to turn a blind eye to Israel's genocide in Palestine

During his speech in the General Assembly, Zeybek emphasized the urgency of halting the massacre and genocide being perpetrated by the Israeli state and army against Palestinians and Lebanese. He urged the Greek government to take a stand against the massacres that have claimed tens of thousands of lives, mostly women and children, as a result of the actions of Israel's far-right government and military.
“As humans and as politicians, we must not remain silent until this genocide and massacre perpetrated by the far-right Netanyahu government is brought to an end. It is a shared pain and responsibility of humanity,” Zeybek stated.
He also criticized the government for its hypocrisy regarding a cooperation protocol with the Republic of Gabon in the field of sports, which was submitted to Parliament for approval. He argued that the government’s endorsement of contracts promoting the "Olympic truce" and the end of "global conflicts" was hypocritical while remaining silent about the genocide in Palestine. He highlighted that hosting the Olympic Games and the International Olympic Committee's failure to advocate for a ceasefire in light of the ongoing massacre implicates them in these atrocities.
