MP Ferhat visits Rodopi Police Chief Souliotis

Özgür Ferhat, MP for the New Left Party representing Rodopi, met with Rodopi Police Chief Konstantinos Souliotis today to discuss public safety and community welfare.
Addressing Fascist Attacks
A key topic was the recent alleged attack on a child by a far-right group in Rodopi. MP Ferhat emphasized the need for a swift and thorough investigation, stating that such incidents must not be tolerated. “Attacks on democracy and human rights target society as a whole, not just individuals. We must stand united against these dark forces,” he said.
Ferhat requested updates on the investigation and vowed to closely monitor the case, calling for accountability and justice.
Safety and Unity as Priorities
Highlighting the importance of public safety, Ferhat underscored the need to address rising tensions and promote harmony among diverse community groups. He declared that no attacks on human dignity or public peace would go unchecked, stressing that combating such crimes is a collective responsibility.
Commitment to Peace and Human Rights
Ferhat reiterated his call for a zero-tolerance policy against fascism and hate speech, urging for societal solidarity. “Standing against fascism is defending human dignity. Rodopi has a proud history of fighting for peace and justice, and this fight will continue,” he affirmed.
The meeting concluded with a pledge to take a firm stand against any threats to Rodopi’s security and harmony.
