In the message, residents of Kozlardere (Pigadia), Old and New Mizanli settlements were asked to stay indoors by keeping the doors and windows closed. 112 message included the following statements: "City fire in Koyunkoy (Kimmeria), Xanthi. If you are in Kozlardere (Pighadia), New and Old Mizanli (Zigo) settlements, stay indoors with doors and windows closed. Follow the instructions of the authorities."
A total of 30 firefighters and 3 fire extinguishing aircraft were mobilised to extinguish the fire. Residents who saw the flames in the distance during the night were naturally worried, while the fire burned piles of garbage, a barn and low vegetation in a large area.
