Minority High School of İskeçe concludes student charity fairs with great success

Organized by the senior students, the series of events began with an opening fair at the school’s Sports Complex in İskeçe and concluded with fairs held in the villages of Mustafçova, Şahin, and Ketenlik.

A Tradition of Community Support

The opening event took place on Friday, September 26, at the school’s Sports Complex, attracting a large number of participants. Representatives from the School Committee, Parent-Teacher Association, teachers, alumni, parents, and minority organizations all joined forces to show strong support for the students.

The second fair, held on Sunday, October 5, in Mustafçova village, drew significant interest from visitors across neighboring villages. Stalls featuring homemade dishes and sweets, face painting, and henna activities were especially popular.

Village Fairs and Grand Raffle

The final two fairs were organized in Şahin on Saturday, October 11, and Ketenlik on Sunday, October 12. Guests enjoyed grilled meatballs, traditional dishes, and desserts, while face-painting and henna activities once again drew enthusiastic participation from children and families.

The events concluded with a raffle draw, streamed live through the school’s social media account. The most exciting moment came during the motorbike prize draw, while a total of around 80 gifts were awarded to participants.

Beyond Fundraising

The charity fairs served not only as a fundraising initiative to support the senior students’ upcoming week-long educational trip, but also as a powerful reminder of unity, community spirit, and active volunteerism within the minority community of İskeçe.
