Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality pays visit to Mufti of Komotini
Uğur İbrahim Altay, the Metropolitan Mayor of Konya, the province with the largest surface area in Türkiye, visited İbrahim Şerif, the Mufti of Komotini.
Mayor of Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay and the accompanying delegation visited İbrahim Şerif, President of the Advisory Board of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace and Mufti of Komotini, in his office within the framework of their visits to the Balkans.
Regarding the visit, Mufti İbrahim Şerif said on his social media account, "The Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mr. Uğur İbrahim Altay, who passed through Western Thrace within the framework of his Balkan visits, came to visit us. Uğur İbrahim Altay came to our visit. We had a chat and exchanged information with him about Konya, where I ate the bread and drank the water during my secondary and high school years."
