Levent Sadık Ahmet shares his success story with Quality Magazine
Levent Sadık Ahmet, a businessman from Western Thrace and Chairman of DCT Trading, shared his inspiring career journey with Quality Magazine. In an interview with Editor-in-Chief Salih Keçeci, Ahmet discussed how he began his career in cotton trading and established a successful business. He highlighted the accomplishments of his company, including a packaging facility in Greece, which has maintained 100% hygiene standards for six years, and its commitment to sustainable farming practices. Ahmet also emphasized the importance of empowering women in agriculture, with 140 female employees in his cherry packaging facility.
In the interview, Ahmet shared that his company is now the largest producer of blueberries in Greece and detailed the advanced agricultural technologies they use, such as drone spraying and weather protection techniques. He also introduced their AI-focused ventures, including Pulse, a company designed to predict market trends, and Cotcast IA, which uses AI to forecast cotton prices.
Ahmet’s story is one of resilience, as he overcame significant challenges following the tragic death of his father, a prominent leader of the Turkish community in Western Thrace, when he was just 15 years old. Despite these hardships, he built DCT Trading into a major player in the global agricultural market, exporting cotton and other products to countries across five continents.
