Kozlukebir Mayor responds to allegations regarding Basırlik preschool
Hüseyin explained that the newly built playground was funded through a €61,000 donation from the company AIGEAS, with the entire process overseen by the municipality. He provided a timeline of the donation process: the request was submitted to the Municipal Committee on May 29, 2025, approved on June 25, 2025, authorized by the Minister of Interior and Deputy Minister of Economy on August 21, and officially conveyed to the municipality on August 29.
“Except for minority schools, all schools fall under municipal responsibility,” Hüseyin stressed, adding that all works at Basırlik Preschool remain solely within the authority of the Kozlukebir Municipality.
Commenting on a circulating video that referenced ethnic identity instead of the village name, Hüseyin described the approach as “a dangerous game aimed at dividing the Minority.” He added, “Unfortunately, some members of the Minority have unknowingly become part of this game.”
The mayor also noted that legal action against an educator involved in the issue is under consideration: “We reserve our right to file complaints with the Ministry of Education and the Prosecutor’s Office. You may continue throwing mud, but we speak with documents. Our people will give you the answer you deserve.”
