"Junta era is over" says Mayor Önder Mumin to Amutzas

Mayor of Iasmos (Yassıköy) Önder Mümin reminds the opposition leader Kyriakos Amutzas that the Junta period is already over as he is uncomfortable with Mümin's publishing the names of the village in Turkish on his social media account.

Mayor Önder Mümin states the following regarding the issue:

"Mr. Amutzas and his squad is uncomfortable as we have pronounced the names of villages in Turkish and calls the prosecutor to do his job.

I give the point that,

• The language used in all official correspondence, meetings, and sites of Iasmos Municipality is the official language of our country, Greek.
• In my own private social media accounts, like all Minority politicians, bilingual languages are used. The official language of our country is Greek and the use of Turkish as our mother tongue is a wealth of multiculturalism of our region and a democratic achievement.
• With his attitude, Amutzas has been disrespectful to the minority people who have supported him for the last 22 years.

I remind him that the Junta era is over.
