Eastern Macedonia and Thrace promotes tourism in New York, targeting US market
The Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace has completed a tourism promotion mission in New York, aiming to increase the region’s visibility in the US market and establish stronger links with American travel professionals, Greek diaspora organisations and institutional representatives.
The initiative, supported by Regional Governor Christodoulos Topsidis, focused on tourism promotion, professional networking and institutional meetings, as the region seeks to expand its international presence and attract visitors from markets with significant growth potential.
ENGAGING US TRAVEL PROFESSIONALS
The mission brought together 58 American travel agents, with professional contacts and potential partnerships forming a central part of the programme. The initiative also sought to strengthen cooperation with diaspora organisations and promote pilgrimage tourism as part of the region’s tourism offering.
Through these activities, the regional authorities aim to build lasting communication channels with tourism industry stakeholders and improve the international recognition of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace as a destination.
