Joyful Quran completion ceremonies held in Koyunköy and Para Neighborhoods

The year-end Quran completion (hatim) ceremonies of the Quran courses under the Xanthi Mufti’s Office continued last weekend with great enthusiasm.
On June 15, lively ceremonies took place in Koyunköy of Xanthi Municipality and Para neighborhood of Mustafchova Municipality, attracting large audiences and a spiritual atmosphere.
In Koyunköy, students taught by several instructors, including village imam Ferdi Islam, impressed attendees with Quran recitations, hymns, and poetry. The event was attended by prominent figures such as Mustafa Trampa, Head of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board and Xanthi Mufti, Xanthi MP Burhan Baran, and local community leaders.
Mufti Trampa thanked students, parents, and organizers, emphasizing the strength of community unity. He also shared his appreciation on social media, congratulating all involved.
Similarly, the traditional ceremony in Para neighborhood featured students of Imam and Quran course teacher İsmet Osman, who received praise for their performances. Mustafa Kamu, Personnel Director of the Mufti’s Office, conveyed Mufti Trampa’s greetings and presented gifts to the students.
Both events concluded with a shared meal of meat pilaf after noon prayers.
