İskeçe Hospital Director appointed to Komotini; Kosmidou takes over İskeçe
Elena Rofaela, director of İskeçe State Hospital, has been appointed as the new director of Gümülcine’s Sismanogleio Hospital. Zoi Kosmidou will replace Rofaela as the head of İskeçe State Hospital.
The decision was published in the Official Gazette of Greece (ΦΕΚ) on August 19, 2025. Rofaela, who previously succeeded Magda Yiamustari, will oversee the daily operations of Sismanogleio Hospital and coordinate the transition to the new İskeçe hospital currently under construction.
Meanwhile, Kosmidou will assume leadership at İskeçe State Hospital. She has not previously held a hospital management role but has served as executive director and consultant in the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace region and worked in the Technical Services Department of the Komotini Municipality.
Both directors are scheduled to begin their new duties following the swearing-in ceremony on Thursday, August 21.
