Inter-Minority Primary School Chess Tournament set to begin in Komotini
The "Inter-Minority Primary School Chess Tournament" is set to take place on Saturday, May 31, bringing together students from minority primary schools across the region. The event is being organized by the Parent-Teacher Association and the Board of Trustees of the İdadiye Turkish Minority Primary School in Komotini.
Under the slogan “Every Pawn Is a Queen in the Making,” the tournament will kick off at 10:00 a.m. at the İdadiye Minority Primary School. Organizers have invited all students from minority primary schools to participate, regardless of their level of chess experience.
In a statement, the Parent-Teacher Association and Board of Trustees encouraged participation, saying: “No matter your child's current chess skills, we support and encourage their involvement and look forward to welcoming them to our school.”
Participation in the tournament is free of charge. Interested students are asked to register through their school's Board of Trustees or by contacting the İdadiye Primary School Parent-Teacher Association at +30 6938 003 311.
