Ihlamur group holds iftar in the abandoned village of Köresten

As part of their Ramadan initiative to visit villages with small or absent congregations, the Ihlamur Group organized an iftar in Köresten, an abandoned village near İskeçe, on Sunday, March 9.
A group of approximately 30-40 people traveled to Köresten, where they shared an iftar meal with the food they had brought. Following the iftar, the group also performed the tarawih prayer at Köresten Mosque.
Regarding the visit, the Ihlamur Group shared the following message on their social media account:
"Dear Friends, in 2015, as the civil initiative Ihlamur Group, we organized an iftar in our abandoned village of Köresten. This year, we once again held an iftar and performed tarawih in this historic mosque, where prayers had not been held for years. We are grateful for the strong participation and support of everyone who contributed to this meaningful event. As Ihlamur Group, we will continue to visit abandoned villages and revive such places with our activities as long as God allows. Wishing you all a blessed Ramadan. Dear Friends, tomorrow evening, we will be in Çayır Mahalle, a neighborhood of Otmanören. Departure will be at 5:30 PM from in front of Koyunköy Mosque."
