Iftar programme held in Hasköy
The last collective iftar programme in the province of Rodopi was held in Hasköy, the village where İbrahim Şerif, President of the Consultative Committee of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace and Mufti of Komotini, was born and raised.
A large number of kinsmen attended the iftar in Hasköy. Mufti İbrahim Şerif, who made the iftar prayer, thanked everyone who attended the iftar programme. Mufti Şerif emphasised the importance of the month of Ramadan and congratulated all the kinsmen on the Eid al-Fitr.
Consul General of Türkiye in Komotini Aykut Ünal also thanked those who contributed to the iftar programme. Consul General Ünal invited all the kinsmen to the Eid al-Fitr ceremony to be held at the Consulate General in Komotini on the first day of Eid al-Fitr and congratulated everyone on Eid al-Fitr.
Consul General of Türkiye in Komotini Aykut Ünal and his wife İlayda Ünal, Consul General of Türkiye in Komotini Barış Çulha and his wife Ege Çulha, President of the Advisory Board of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace and Mufti of Komotini İbrahim Şerif, President of the FEP Party Çiğdem Asafoğlu, local administrators, representatives of minority institutions and organisations and many kinsmen attended the iftar programme.
