Hundreds of kinsmen meet in Elmalı iftar
The people of the region flocked to the iftar table in Elmalı village of Mustafçova Municipality on Saturday, 30 March.
Many guests attended the iftar programme organised by the youth of Elmalı. In addition to Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Xanthi, Deputy Consul General Subutay Koç representing the Consulate General of Türkiye in Komotini, Xanthi MPs Hüseyin Zeybek and Burhan Baran, Mayor of Mustafçova Ahmet Kurt, former Mayors Rıdvan Deli Hüseyin and Cemil Kabza, FEP Party President Çiğdem Asafoğlu, Deputy State President İrfan Hacıgene, State President Counsellor Salih Yörük, State Assembly Members Fatih İsmailko and İbrahim Amuçka, Xanthi Turkish Union President Ozan Ahmetoğlu, Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association President Hüseyin Baltacı, Çınar Association President Cengiz Ömer, Bakeş Director Pervin Hayrullah, Deputy Mayors, councillors, association managers and many cognates from neighbouring villages attended the event.
After the Iftar, Serdar Küçük took the floor on behalf of Elmalı Youth and thanked all the guests for their participation. Then Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Xanthi, took the floor and congratulated Elmalı Youth for this beautiful organisation. Finally, Vice Consul Subutay Koç congratulated the Ramadan of the kinsmen and conveyed the greetings of Consul General Aykut Ünal.
