Horror at the border! 4 immigrants suffocated and died
At the İpsala Border Gate, which opened from Edirne to Greece, 4 illegal immigrants lost their lives when they entered the trailer of a truck in the parking lot. It is considered that the immigrants died as a result of extreme heat and lack of air.
The lorry loaded with refrigerators from Izmir to Thessaloniki, Greece, stopped at Gallipoli, Çanakkale, at around 05:30.
Allegedly, at that time, 4 illegal immigrants cut the customs rope to go to Greece illegally and got on the lorry trailer.
HEARD VOICES
After resting for a while, the driver came to the UMAT İpsala İbrahim Girgin TIR Park, which was opened with the participation of Ömer Bolat, the Minister of Commerce, and stopped for the last time before departing for Greece. After a while, the driver realized that there were noises from the trailer of the truck, and when he checked the trailer, he encountered 4 illegal immigrants unconscious.
ALL 4 DIED DIFFICULTLY
Police and paramedics were dispatched to the scene upon notification. While it was determined that 2 illegal immigrants died at the scene, 2 immigrants who were taken to hospitals in Keşan and İpsala by ambulances could not be saved despite all the intervention of doctors. It is considered that 4 immigrants lost their lives as a result of extreme heat and lack of air.
The bodies of illegal immigrants were sent to Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute for identification and autopsy. The police investigation into the incident continues.
