Health screenings in Gümülcine’s Peace Square by the “Help at Home” program

On the occasion of International Day of Older Persons, celebrated annually on October 1, the staff of the Municipality of Gümülcine’s “Help at Home” program organized free health screenings for residents on Wednesday morning at Peace Square.
Participants were offered blood glucose, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation measurements, while program staff also engaged with citizens to address any questions following the checks. In addition, they provided information about the program itself, which aims to improve the quality of life for older adults and people with mobility or other special needs, supporting both their independent living and their family environment.
The program also offers counseling and psychological support to beneficiaries.
Standing alongside the staff was Deputy Mayor Ioannis Kyriazis, responsible for Social Solidarity, Gender Equality Policies, and the Fight Against Discrimination and Gender-Based Violence, who expressed his support for the initiative.
