According to the information received, Volkan Kahraman, who lived in Vienna, the capital of Austria, was shot in the head with a gun by a person named Orhan, who was understood to be his friend, and was killed. “Killer Orhan” committed suicide with the same pistol after killing the 43-year-old former Xanthi football team player.

It was stated that former football player Volkan and the murderer Orhan knew each other and had been arguing recently.

Turkish-Austrian citizen Volkan Kahraman, who started his football career in Feyenord academy of the Netherlands, also wore the jerseys of Xanthi and Trabzonspor. Kahraman also played 3 times for the Austrian national team.

It was noted that the investigation into the incident was carried out by the Vienna police.
