On July 24, 2020 Hagia Sophia was reopened to worship after 86 years. The reopening of Hagia Sophia as a mosques was protested in Gümülcine city center.

The march which started from the symbolic sword of Gümülcine ended in front of the Consulate General of Turkey.

The protest started with the speech made by the organizators.

After the speech, far-right racist group started a march towards the Consulate General of Turkey.

Both in the speech and the march demonstrators chanted slogans against Turkey and Turks living in Western Thrace.
