Fine imposed on individual for burning dry grass in Xanthi's Sakarkaya

A foreign national was fined for burning dry grass in the village of Sakarkaya, which is part of the Bulustra Municipality in Xanthi.
The individual was penalized with a fine of 1,125 euros for setting fire to dry grass on a construction site during a period when outdoor fires are strictly prohibited due to ongoing efforts to prevent forest fires.
According to local media reports, the Xanthi Fire Department issued the fine to the individual for violating the ban on outdoor fires. The incident took place on Friday, August 9, when the person ignited the dry grass at a construction site in Sakarkaya.
The Xanthi Fire Department has reiterated its call for all citizens to comply with the fire ban regulations.
