Farmers, livestock farmers, and beekeepers of Northern Evros decide to block Kastanies
Agricultural machinery will be stationed on Sunday, January 19, at the Kastenes junction, marking an unprecedented level of participation in the farmers' meeting.
A large turnout and constructive dialogue took place on Saturday, January 11, at the Labor Center in Orestiada, where farmers, livestock farmers, and beekeepers of Northern Evros gathered. During the meeting, the serious issues faced by the region's primary sector were discussed, and it was decided to organize a blockade with agricultural machinery at the Kastenes junction on Sunday, January 19, at 12:00 noon.
The agricultural associations of Vyssa, Orestiada, Trigono, and the Federation of Agricultural Associations of Evros "UNITY" are joining forces and calling on the region's farmers to show strong support for the Sunday mobilization, demanding collective solutions to the major problems affecting the primary sector in the area.
