Event on the Palestinian issue by KKE and KNE in Rhodope
The Rodopi Sectoral Organizations of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) and the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE) successfully hosted a presentation of the book “The Palestinian Issue: A Historical Review of Its Roots and Evolution”, published by Synchroni Epohi. The event took place last Tuesday at the Multifunctional Center of Komotini Municipality.

Presentation by Anastasis Gikas:
A member of the KKE Central Committee’s History Department and the book's author, Gikas outlined the historical trajectory of the Palestinian issue. He emphasized the importance of historical knowledge for understanding the issue through a class-based lens, encouraging solidarity with oppressed peoples like the Palestinians.
Gikas closed with the statement:
“This is the right side of history—standing with struggling peoples. With Palestine, for Freedom.”
Personal Testimony by Ahmad Siha:
Ahmad Siha, a member of the General Union of Palestinian Students in Athens, shared moving personal experiences of the ongoing oppression faced by Palestinians. Siha highlighted the importance of such initiatives in fostering solidarity and thanked KKE and KNE for their support.
The event concluded with a discussion on the current state of the Palestinian issue and its implications for the Middle East.
