Eastern Macedonia and Thrace participates in Polish Tourism Fair

The Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (EMT) delegation, led by Deputy Governor for Tourism Panagiotis Archontis, participated in the "ITTF 2024" International Tourism Fair held in Warsaw, Poland. The delegation returned with promising outcomes, highlighting new tourism opportunities.
During the fair, the EMT delegation engaged in discussions with Polish tour operators and tourism businesses. They also held a tourism-focused meeting with Greece’s Ambassador in Warsaw.
A key achievement of the visit was a meeting with representatives of the international travel agency ITAKA. It was announced that an additional direct flight from Warsaw to Kavala Airport will commence next summer. This will increase the weekly flights on the Warsaw-Kavala route to five during the summer season.
This development is expected to boost tourism in the region, strengthening ties between Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and the Polish market. The delegation emphasized their commitment to further collaboration with international tourism stakeholders.
