Consul General Aykut Ünal visits Ilıca Village in İskeçe
Consul General of Türkiye in Komotini, Aykut Ünal, visited Ilıca village in the Municipality of Mustafcova, Xanthi.
On Friday, February 7, Consul General Ünal traveled to Ilıca village to meet with the local Turkish community.
During his visit, he was accompanied by prominent figures including the Mufti of İskeçe, Mustafa Trampa, MP Hüseyin Zeybek, President of the İskeçe Turkish Union Ozan Ahmetoğlu, President of the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association Hüseyin Baltacı, Deputy Chairman of the Friendship, Equality, and Peace (DEB) Party Bahri Belço, Deputy Mayor of Mustafcova Ramadan Şaban, opposition leader of Mustafcova Municipality Halk Hareketi Cemil Kabza, and President of the Çınar Association Cengiz Ömer.
Consul General Ünal and his delegation performed the Friday prayer together with the local community at the village mosque.
A statement from the Consulate General of Türkiye in Komotini on social media regarding the visit read: "We met with our compatriots in Ilıca, İskeçe. We sincerely thank them for their hospitality."
Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa also shared on social media: "Today, we performed the Friday prayer in the Upper District of Ilıca, Xanthi. We had the opportunity to meet with the village residents. We thank them for their warm hospitality."
