Consul General Aykut Ünal meets with kinsmen in Payamlar village
The village visited by Consul General Aykut Ünal this week was Payamlar village of Kozlukebir Municipality.
The Consul General was accompanied by the Chairman of the Advisory Board İbrahim Şerif, who is also the Mufti of Komotini, and Sedat Hasan, President of the Turkish Youth Union of Komotini.
Consul General Ünal, who went to the village before Friday prayers, was welcomed by Erdem Hüseyin, Mayor of Kozlukebir Municipality, Sadettin Mustafa, Deputy Mayor for Kozlukebir Region, who is from Payamlar village, Mustafa Sar Hasan, Imam of Payamlar and villagers.
Consul General Ünal greeted the elected officials of the region and the cognates waiting for him in front of the mosque and then went to the mosque.
Mufti of Komotini İbrahim Şerif gave a sermon to the congregation until the prayer time. Then Consul General Ünal took the floor and made a short speech and expressed his happiness to be together with the cognates of Paylamlar.
After the call to prayer, the guests and the residents of the village stood together and performed the Friday prayer. After the prayer, the cognates went to the village café. Consul General Ünal and the executives accompanying him chatted with the cognates and drank coffee.
