Çinar Association launches 2026 Qurban donation campaign for Uganda and Gaza
The Çinar (Cheenar) Association, one of the leading civil society organizations of the Western Thrace Turkish Community, has officially launched its 2026 Qurban (sacrificial) Donation Campaign, focusing on supporting vulnerable families in Uganda. In addition, the association continues its food aid initiative for Gaza.
This year’s campaign is organized in collaboration with IHH-UK Foundation, led by Ali Tahir Cambaz, who will personally travel to Uganda to oversee the distribution of Qurban donations. The initiative aims to deliver the joy of Eid al-Adha to families struggling with hunger and poverty in one of Africa’s poorest nations.
“One Qurban, one hope… With your contribution, a table will be set in Uganda,” the association announced.
Donors can contribute €80 per Qurban, and an optional additional €20 can be donated to support Gaza food aid programs. All donations are accepted via bank transfer, both domestically and internationally, with clear instructions to indicate the names of the beneficiaries.
The campaign is guided by Ali Tahir Cambaz, originally from Gökçepınar village and now based in London. In previous years, he personally delivered Qurban donations to Somalia, Chad, and Uganda, ensuring transparency and direct impact.
