Charity bazaar organized by youth in Bağlar Neighborhood, Gümülcine
A charity bazaar was held on Saturday evening in the Bağlar neighborhood of Gümülcine, organized by local youth aiming to foster community solidarity and support those in need.
Starting at 6:00 p.m., the event attracted strong participation from local residents. Various food and beverage stands were set up, offering attendees the chance to enjoy a pleasant evening while contributing to a good cause. The bazaar is scheduled to continue until 10:00 p.m.
The event drew not only residents of Bağlar but also many visitors from neighboring areas, reflecting a spirit of unity and mutual support among the region’s Turkish minority.
Prominent attendees included Gümülcine Mufti İbrahim Şerif, Deputy Mufti Fehim Ahmet, representatives of various civil society organizations, and elected political figures from the region—all showing their support for the youth-led initiative.
The bazaar was praised for highlighting the importance of community engagement and social responsibility in Western Thrace.
