“Bring Your Child to Fajr Prayer” program held at Işıklar Mosque
The fourth installment of the “Bring Your Child to Fajr Prayer” program, organized by the Gümülcine S. Muftiate, took place on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Işıklar Mosque.
The event, which has become a cherished tradition, drew a large crowd, including Gümülcine Mufti İbrahim Şerif, East Macedonia and Thrace Regional Council Member Ahmet Osman Pehlivan, Kozlukebir Deputy Mayor Özkan Yusuf, and several other officials and citizens from the region.
Attendees of all ages—men, women, young people, and children—came together in a display of unity and devotion during the morning prayer.
In a statement shared on social media, the Muftiate expressed gratitude for the community’s enthusiastic participation despite the weather conditions: “We found peace in prayer, the Qur’an, dhikr, and our Mufti’s sermon. We thank the people of Işıklar village for their warm hospitality and everyone who contributed to the event.”
The program aims to instill a sense of community, worship, and connection to the mosque, particularly among children, while strengthening family bonds in a spiritual setting.
The next event is scheduled for Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Muratlı Village Mosque.
