Birol Müminoğlu became the head of Xanthi Red Cross Branch

For the first time in history, a member of the Turkish Minority was elected as the head to the Red Cross Xanthi Branch.
For the first time in history, a member of the Turkish Minority has been elected as the head to the Red Cross Xanthi Branch, one of the most important non-governmental organizations in Xanthi.
According to the statement made by the Xanthi Red Cross Branch, a 9-member board of directors was determined as a result of the general assembly that took place on 29 May 2022.
With the participation of 9 members elected to the board of directors, the distribution of duties was also made at the first board meeting held on June 6th.
As a result of the distribution of duties among the members, Birol Müminoğlu, who is an economist, served as the Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Xanthi State Hospital for a period and worked as a volunteer at the Red Cross for years, was elected as the chairman.
Müminoğlu made history as the first president to be elected as a member of the Turkish Minority at the Xanthi Branch of the Red Cross.
On the other hand, it was noteworthy that 6 of the members of the 9-member board of directors were members of the Turkish minority.
