Journey to History Exhibition organised in GTGB opened
Organised by the Komotini Turkish Youth Union, the Journey to History Exhibition, which will be open to visitors on 24-26 October, was opened.
The opening of the exhibition, which includes valuable items from the past years, provided by the sewing and embroidery courses operating under the umbrella of the Komotini Turkish Youth Union, was held on Tuesday evening, 24 October.
In the opening ceremony held at the GTGB clubhouse, Mediha Bekiroğlu, the instructor of Komotini Knitting-Sewing and Embroidery Course, made an opening speech.
Then Sedat Hasan, President of Komotini Turkish Youth Union, İbrahim Şerif, President of the Consultative Committee of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace and Mufti of Komotini and Aykut Ünal, Consul General of Turkey in Komotini took the floor and greeted the participants.
After the speeches, the executives and cognates who attended the opening visited the stands and examined the exhibited items closely.
The opening ceremony was attended by Consul General of Türkiye in Komotini Aykut Ünal, his wife İlayda Ünal, Vice Consuls Barış Çulha and Subutay Koç, President of the Advisory Board of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace and Mufti of Komotini İbrahim Şerif, President of the Friendship Equality Peace Party Çiğdem Asafoğlu, President of the Western Thrace Turkish Teachers Union Aydın Ahmet, General Director of the Western Thrace Culture and Education Company Pervin Hayrullah and citizens.
The exhibition, organised by GTGB and opened this evening, will be open to citizens until Thursday, 26 October 2023.
