Işık Sadık Ahmet attends the 15th Balkan History Congress
Within the scope of the congress held in Samsun Atakum Municipality Hasan Ali Yücel Youth Science and Art Centre, Sadık Ahmet came together with Kadir Tatar, President of Samsun Association for the Study of Turkish Culture and Balkan Turkish Culture, and members of the association.
Making a written statement after the congress, Işık Sadık Ahmet stated the following
"I would like to thank Prof. Dr. Bünyamin Kocaoğlu, who is a Samsun Mübadil and a lecturer at the National Defence University, who has made a great effort as always in the organisation of the congress, which was intensely attended and productive. I would also like to thank Mr Şakir Özön, a businessman and former mayor of Kutlukent, who took a close interest in us from the moment we arrived in Samsun. Within the scope of the congress, I paid courtesy visits to Orhan Tavlı, Governor of Samsun, Halit Doğan, Mayor of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, Mustafa Candal, Mayor of Tekkeköy, İhsan Kurnaz, Mayor of İlkadım and Serhat Türkel, Mayor of Atakum. I would like to express my gratitude to our Governor and Mayors for their pleasant conversations and hospitality. I would also like to thank Olcay Kinay, who participated in all our visits with us during the congress."
